Task Jenga (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a small, playful to-do application. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the disclaimers that apply when you use the app. By using Task Jenga you agree to the terms below.
1. Information We Collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app:
- Google account information. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile details from Google Sign-In: your name, email address, profile picture URL, and a unique Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
- Your tasks. The tasks (“bricks”) you create, their names, timestamps, and dependencies are stored so they can be synced to your account.
- Basic usage counts. We keep anonymous aggregate counts of page visits and application errors to help keep the service running.
If you do not sign in, your tasks are stored only in your browser’s local storage and never leave your device.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
- To save and sync your tasks across sessions and devices.
- To display your name and profile picture within the app.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Google User Data
Task Jenga’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request the minimal profile scopes needed to sign you in, and we use that data solely to provide the app’s features described above.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your account information and tasks are stored in our database. We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure session cookies, and rate limiting to help protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not share your personal information with third parties except:
- With Google, only as part of the sign-in process you initiate.
- When required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the service.
6. Data Retention & Your Choices
- You can sign out at any time to end your session.
- You can delete your tasks within the app at any time.
- You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us at the address below.
- You can also revoke Task Jenga’s access from your Google Account permissions page.
7. Disclaimer
Task Jenga is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The app is intended for personal task tracking and entertainment. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will be preserved. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
8. Children’s Privacy
Task Jenga is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
